By now, Megan Thee Stallion has solidified her status as an international superstar. 2022 saw the Houston native headlining shows all across the globe, and while she began 2023 on a quiet note, recent months have seen her back on the stage in full force. Her most recent performance took place on Friday (June 9) in Los Angeles, where Megan happily showed out in support of the LGBTQ+ community at Pride in the Park.
Besides performing fan favourites like “Body,” “Big Ole Freak,” and “Simon Says” for the crowd, the fashionista also brought up some attendees to show off their dance moves. As we’ve seen in the past, it was a male member of Thee Hotties who primarily caught Megan’s attention thanks to his wildly impressive twerking skills on her stage. TikTok star Markell Washington is currently going viral thanks to his grooving alongside the “Plan B” hitmaker which left her too stunned to speak.
“ANYONE WHO KNOWS ME… KNOWS I LOVEEEEE ME SOME MEGAN THEE STALLION,” Thee Stallion’s surprise guest wrote in the caption of his post. “SHE BROUGHT ME ON STAGE AND I HAD TO EATTTTT!!! I love this lady with a passion lol, and the way she hyped me up the whole time and they kept putting me on the big screen
A ninth Gorillaz album is on the horizon. On Thursday, the Damon Albarn-created group announced that it will drop a 15-track collaborative album, titled The Mountain, on March 20, 2026, featuring stars from across the globe. To celebrate the news, the band released “The Happy Dictator” featuring Sparks.
Each of the songs features at least one collaborator, and will feature artists singing in Arabic, Hindi, Spanish, and Yoruba. Idles is featured on “The God of Lying.” Argentinian DJ Bizarrap joins Kara Jackson and Anoushka Shankar on “Orange County,” and Argentine rapper Trueno will appear with Proof on “The Manifesto.”
A press release for the record described The Mountain as a “playlist for a party on the border between this world and whatever happens next, exploring the journey of life and the thrill of existence.” The album was recorded at Studio 13 in London, along with cities in India, Miami, Ashgabat, Damascus, and New York. The album is the first under their indie record label, Kong.
Along with the album, the band will tour the United Kingdom and Ireland in March, with stops in Manchester, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, Belfast, and Dublin. Then, the band will perform in June at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Trueno will join the band as an opener for most dates.
The Mountain is the first studio album since 2023’s Cracker Island, which featured collaborations with artists such as Stevie Nicks, Tame Impala, Bad Bunny, and Beck.
