KANYE WEST FLEXES HUGE 8-FIGURE REVENUE FROM YEEZY SALES AFTER SUPER BOWL AD

Kanye West‘s low-budget Super Bowl commercial appears to have paid off handsomely by generating millions in revenue for his Yeezy brand.

On Monday (February 12), the day after the ad aired, the Chicago rap mogul shared a text on Instagram detailing the impressive sales figures for his latest Yeezy products.

According to the message from British far-right political commentator Milo Yiannopoulos — who has become a close associate of Kanye in recent years — Yeezy made $19.3 million in revenue in just 24 hours.

266,000 units of his shoe-like Yeezy Pod sneakers were sold, along with 79,000 t-shirts, 57,000 pants and 53,000 long-sleeve shirts.

Kanye added in his caption: “The people have spoken Yeezy.com.”

All items on the Yeezy store are currently retailing for $20, with the company offering a $180 refund to customers who bought the Yeezy Pods for their original price of $200.

“We are crediting back the $180 to all who purchased the Pods for $200,” the company wrote on Instagram. “Please write to customer service at [email protected] they will take care of you.”

Kanye West appeared in a strikingly low-budget Yeezy Super Bowl commercial on Sunday (February 11) after blowing his budget on securing the ad slot.

The 30-second spot is believed to have only aired in Chicago and Miami and is said to have cost around $7 million. It saw Ye filming himself with his phone and talking to the camera while plugging his new sneakers.

“Aye y’all, this Ye, and this is my commercial,” he said. “And since we spent all the money on the commercial spot, we actually didn’t spend any money on the actual commercial.

“But the idea is: I want you to go to Yeezy.com — Y-E-E-Z-Y dot com; I’ma write it at the bottom of the screen — and I got some shoes aaaand mmmmm… that’s it.”

Kanye recently explained his decision to lower the price of his Yeezy items to $20, which have previously retailed for hundreds of dollars.

In a clip from his upcoming interview with Justin Laboy, he said: “I’m a bit of a Robin Hood in a way where people can say, ‘Okay, this multibillionaire spent $4 million on Balenciaga in one year,’ but did I bring the designs back down to earth?

“As much as I could because Gap didn’t take it to $20 the way I wanted to. ‘Cause they were still trying to protect the classism of the idea of Balenciaga and the idea of Gap.”

Yeezy’s lucrative sales were no doubt boosted by the release of Kanye West’s collaborative album with Ty Dolla $ignVultures 1, which arrived on Friday (February 9) following numerous delays.

The 16-track project boasts appearances from Playboi CartiTravis ScottFreddie GibbsQuavoYGLil DurkChris Brown, Kanye’s daughter North West and more.

Two more installments, Vultures 2 and Vultures 3, are scheduled to be released on March 8 and April 5, respectively.

Eminem's Mother Reportedly Terminally Ill With Lung Cancer

Eminem‘s mother Debbie Mathers is reportedly terminally ill after being diagnosed with lung cancer.

According to a report from In Touch Weekly, Debbie, who famously has a troubled relationship with her son, does not have long left to live.

A source tells the publication: “There are not many options [for Debbie]. She is currently staying between the cancer center and with family members. She has a very limited amount of time [left].”

The report adds that while Eminem has been taking care of his 69-year-old mother financially for a number of years, the rap legend has not had contact with her for a long time.

“People around her aren’t even sure if Eminem is even aware of what is happening to his mother. He’s good to his mom. He makes sure he takes care of her, but they don’t really talk,” the source says.

“It would be good for both of them [to communicate]. This could give them the chance to reconcile.”

Debbie was previously diagnosed with breast cancer, telling The Village Voice in 2018: “I’m still under doctor’s care, which I probably will be for a while. Basically a lot of the stuff is hereditary, but that happens. Cancers and heart disease and all that, and all the genetic things … I worry about my boys, having high blood pressure and things.”

The two have had a publicly complicated relationship for years, with Eminem making his mother a subject in many of his songs.

Debbie would later sue her son for insinuating that she took drugs, attempting to win $11 million in damages though she was only awarded $25,000.

After Eminem was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2022, Debbie paid tribute to her son.

“Marshall, I want to say, I could not let this day go by without congratulating you on your induction into the Hall of Fame,” she said. “I love you very much. I knew you’d get there. It’s been a long ride. I’m very, very proud of you.

“And also I’m very proud of Hailie Jade, my big girl. I want to tell you Hailie, great job on your podcast and God bless you guys. I love you very much.”
