Kanye West Debuts New Song With Skepta At 'Vultures' Party

Los Angeles, CA - Kanye West premiered a new song with British grime MC Skepta called “Cash Cow” at his private Vultures party.

Footage from the event, which was held in Los Angeles on Sunday (August 11), offers an insight into the previously unheard track which boasts a hard grime-inspired beat over which Ye and Skepta trade bars.

“How we livin/? / I’m never quittin’ / Feel like whippin’ / Rollie ain’t tickin’ / 818 sippin’ / Sauce spinnin,'” the Boy Better Know star spits.

It is not yet known if the song will appear on Vultures 3 or be one of the many bonus tracks that Kanye has added to Vultures 2, his second collaborative album with Ty Dolla $ign that arrived earlier this month.

Though Kanye West and Skepta’s relationship dates back around a decade, they have yet to officially appear on a track together.

They did, however, collaborate in 2021 when Skepta shared a snippet of Kanye jumping on a remix of his track “Piece of Mind,” around the same time as the G.O.O.D. Music founder’s drawn-out Donda rollout.

The two also crossed paths at London Fashion Week in 2022 following a Burberry’ show, with the duo linking up with Erykah Badu and supermodel Irina Shayk.

Skepta was also credited as a songwriter on the 2018 ye album cut “I Thought About Killing You” alongside fellow grime legend Wiley, although it’s unclear what contributions they made to the song.

The Chicago and London natives most famously teamed up at the 2015 BRIT Awards where Kanye premiered “All Day” alongside Allan KingdomTheophilus London and a number of grime stars.

Kanye also gave Skepta a shoutout at the end of the fiery performance, saying: “Yo, Skepta. Thank you.”

Skepta has long been an admirer of Kanye’s, telling MTV UK in 2013: “I think he’s one of the few Americans that are free. A lot of artists … we get into the music industry and think we’ve got this blueprint that we have to follow.

“But [with] Kanye West, I just feel like every time he brings a CD out, it might not be for everyone … but it’s always fresh, it’s always free.”

Ariana Grande Says She’s Done Being ‘Polite’ on Upcoming Album ‘Petal’

The title of Ariana Grande’s upcoming album Petal may sound soft and delicate, but according to the pop superstar, some of the emotions behind the project are far more intense.

In a video uploaded to Instagram on Thursday, May 7, Grande gave fans another glimpse into the creative direction of the record while speaking with her team. During the clip, she explained that the album explores feelings and perspectives she previously held back from expressing.

“It’s a little feral,” she said in the video. “It’s definitely coming from a side of me that maybe I was too shy or too polite to fully step into before.”

“This project kind of feels like, ‘F--k it,’” Grande added.

The Grammy winning artist officially announced Petal at the end of April. In a statement released at the time, she described the album, which follows her 2024 Billboard 200 chart topper Eternal Sunshine, as “something that is full of life,” adding that the songs reflect “growing through the cracks of something cold and hard and challenging.”

In the new Instagram clip, Grande elaborated further on the emotional themes behind the project. “It’s really about letting go of all kinds of unhealthy attachments, whether that’s the monsters inside my own mind, outside opinions or things that simply don’t serve me anymore,” she explained. “I might be talking about my own experiences, but I hope people can connect those feelings to their own lives in whatever way they need.”

Before Petal arrives on July 31, Grande will launch her Eternal Sunshine Tour on June 6. The tour marks her first live trek in seven years and will take the Wicked star across North America for nearly two months before wrapping with a 10 night run at The O2 Arena in London.
