J. Cole Faces Wrath Of Drake Fans After Joining A$AP Rocky On 'Ruby Rosary'

J. Cole has been again been accused of betraying Drake after appearing on A$AP Rocky‘s new single “Ruby Rosary.”

Drizzy and Rocky have being going back and forth in recent months, mainly over Rihanna, and while Cole seemed to be in the Canadian’s corner at the start of the feud (which also involves Kendrick LamarMetro BoominRick Ross and others), some fans have interpreted his latest guest verse as another act of disloyalty.

The surprise collaboration, which is produced by The Alchemist and will appear on Rocky’s upcoming album Don’t Be Dumb, also sees the Harlem rapper appearing to take more shots at Drake.

“N-gga want smoke with me, tell him, ‘Push up, Hercules’ / Hercules, tell him push up, tell him pull up, 33,” he raps over the ominous, piano-laced production, seemingly referencing the 6 God’s diss song “Push Ups.”

He also spits: “Who dared me to die? You a dead man walkin’, like you barely alive / Cut everything but the family ties / Cut the shit, cut the lies, word to the wise / Who in your top five? Haha (Fuck your top five).

“I don’t get fresh to death, bitch, I’m buried alive / I heard dawg talkin’ funny, like it’s Family Guy […] They ain’t seen this drip since Rick The Ruler / They done forced my hand, my shit is Rugers.”

Although J. Cole doesn’t throw any lyrical darts in his guest verse, his mere appearance on the track hasn’t sat well with Drake fans given his previously close relationship with his “First Person Shooter” collaborator.

One Drizzy supporter wrote on social media: “J Cole bitched out the beef and made it a point to collaborate with every single one of Drake’s opps can’t respect this foolishness.”

“Still love J Cole but wtf he on??? Bro is doing drake dirty,” another said, while a third user labeled Cole a “traitor.”

Someone else defended J. Cole by pointing out that Drake recently appeared to make fun of him on his burner Instagram account after he backed out of his beef with Kendrick Lamar.

The Dreamville leader was previously criticized by Drake fans after he appeared on Future and Metro Boomin‘s We Still Don’t Trust You, just weeks after the pair’s first album ignited Hip Hop’s civil war with numerous shots at the 6 God.

In a surprise move, Cole guested on the track “Red Leather,” despite being called out by Kendrick on We Don’t Trust You‘s chart-topping “Like That.”

We Still Don’t Trust You also featured disses aimed at Drake from one-time friend The Weeknd as well as A$AP Rocky.

Before the album’s release, Cole was widely seen as Drake’s closest ally given their number one collaboration “First Person Shooter” and successful tour together.

However, it’s worth noting that the North Carolina native has seemingly chosen to avoid any parts of the conflict, admitting that his since-deleted “7 Minute Drill” diss song against Kendrick “disrupt[ed] [his] peace.”

GloRilla Announces Debut Album Arriving Next Month

image

GloRilla is set to punctuate her banner year with the release of her debut album, which she just revealed will be arriving next month.

Sharing the news with Extra TV while on the red carpet at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards on Wednesday (September 11), Glo also gave a hint at the album title.

“I’m dropping an album next month, in October,” she said. “I’m so excited about that. We gon’ go number one! [The title] starts with a G.”

The LP follows the Memphis native’s mixtape Ehhthang Ehhthang, which dropped in April. The 12-track project features appearances from Moneybagg Yo, Megan Thee Stallion, Kevo Money, Real Boston Richey and Finesse2Tymes.

GloRilla also hit the stage at the VMAs to perform “TGIF” – and almost suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction when an outfit reveal nearly resulted in her showing off just a bit too much.

As she removed her suit to showcase a bikini, her bra top almost slipped off, but luckily one of her backup dancers caught the almost-slip before the rapper showed it all on national television.

The rest of the performance went off without a hitch.

It’s been quite the year for Big Glo, and she recently gave credit to a 2023 post from a fan that said she’d fallen off as to how she has been so successful.

Taking to X on Wednesday (September 4), Glo posted an October 2023 tweet that read: “Glorilla fell off so fast and bad [crying emojis].”

With a retweet, she shared her testimony.

“I remember bookmarking dis & telling myself ‘Dey gotchu fucked up so bad,’” she wrote. “dis post ain’t do shit but put a battery in my back i needed dat. don’t let dese people write yo story for you , Keep going !!!”

GloRilla achieved major success with her 2022 breakout single “FNF,” then followed it up with another successful single “Tomorrow.” Cardi B hopped on the latter and made it even bigger.

However, she seemed to lose momentum in 2023 and even ended up blocking popular streamer Kai Cenat after he criticized her Fivio Foreign-assisted single “Cha Cha Cha,” a song that gained little to no traction.

She came back with a vengeance in 2024, though, with her singles “Yeah Glo!” and “Wanna Be” with Megan Thee Stallion both cracking the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100. She also found viral success with her track “TGIF,” which was even complimented by Rihanna.

Rih was so impressed, in fact, she slid into Glo’s DMs saying: “You got all summer sis! I know dis wild hypocritical but when the album drop?”

Looks like Rih Rih now has her answer!
