Trae Tha Truth is headed to the east coast to help provide relief to people affected by Hurricane Helene.
Per the latest report from NBC, the death toll from the hurricane is up to 176, while hundreds are still missing. Parts of North Carolina have been devastated, including the city of Asheville which was previously referred to as a “climate haven.”
A week after Hurricane Helene made landfall, 1.3 million people are still without power, from Virginia down to Florida.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday (October 2), Trae confirmed he was on the way to help with his team in whatever way they can.
“Carolina’s and Florida …. Im In Route to assist and Do What We Can…. We Know Its Bad There,” he wrote in his caption. ”

Always one to help, Trae Tha Truth stepped in to help the people of the city of Houston back in May following a round of deadly storms.
NBC News reported that more than half a million people in Harris County, TX — the home county of Houston — were without power for over a week due to the high winds and driving rains, which left seven people dead.
Seeing an opportunity to help his fellow Houstonians, the rapper took to his Instagram to offer his help.
“I got people movin’ on every side of town right now,” he said in the video. “DM relief gang with your phone number, your address, and pictures of your house so we can see how much damage has been done and how much help you need. And I’m sending people out all over the town right now.”
And at the top of the year, the rapper teamed up with Cedric The Entertainer to hand out free coats to the homeless in Houston.
“Woke up and Decided to Bless A Few Hundred Of tha Homeless with Jackets and Coats For The Cold on Behalf of my Daughter @iambabytruth @reliefgang,” Trae wrote in an Instagram post.
In a video shared by Cedric, the pair addressed the press who appeared at their donation site.
“It’s special,” Cedric said when asked how it feels to be able to give back while he was in town for a show. “Everybody know Trae just a really boots-on-the-ground kind of personality. Those are one of the things from the very beginning that I found very important being his brother is that his collaboration, the way he really is with the city.”
He continued: “It’s one of those things, we hear to do some great and good for the people. It’s holiday season — lot of love and that energy is what we spreading. I came here to perform and give back. Laughter and jokes is one thing but to also touch the folks is very important. And Trae’s just solid and I was here for Trae Day and we back.”

Beyoncé‘s Cowboy Carter is reportedly set to compete in the country category at the 2025 Grammys, following major snubs from the likes of the Country Music Awards and the People’s Choice Country Awards.
The Hollywood Reporter announced that the album had been accepted into the category by the Recording Academy on Wednesday (October 2). While other nominees have yet to be revealed, she’s likely to go up against the likes of Post Malone, Chris Stapleton, Lainey Wilson, Zach Bryan, Kacey Musgraves and Moroney.
Cowboy Carter is also expected be nominated for album of the year.
This will be Beyoncé’s first time competing in a country category at the awards, as she was previously denied her 2017 submission for Lemonade‘s “Daddy Lessons” to be on the ballot for Best Country Song.
Cowboy Carter has been a major commercial success since its release in March. The album debuted atop the Billboard 200 tally with 407,000 equivalent album units in its first week, making for the biggest sales week of 2024 at the time – though it has since been one-upped by Taylor Swift’s latest effort.
Twenty three of the album’s 27 songs also made it to the Billboard Hot 100 chart, bringing the Houston native’s career total Billboard Hot 100 songs to 106. She is now just the 17th artist and only the third woman to score over 100 entries since the Hot 100 was launched in 1958.
But despite this, Beyoncé was snubbed completely at the 2024 Country Music Awards – receiving zero nominations.
She then came out empty handed at the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards – despite receiving the second highest number of nominations this year.
Ahead of the event, which went down on September 26, Bey was up for a staggering 17 nominations for the album.
All winners at the People’s Country Music Awards — a self-proclaimed “award show for the people and by the people” — were decided by fan votes during a pretty tight voting period, which started on August 13 and ended August 23.
But despite the impressive amount of nods, she walked away 0 for 17. She was, however, mentioned by Cowboy Carter-featured artist Shaboozey during his acceptance speech, who thanked the superstar singer for “being amazing.”
