During her recent appearance on Angel Reese's "Unapologetically Angel" podcast, Kayla Nicole threw some shade at none other than Teyana Taylor. At one point in the episode, the personality was asked about the "cr*ziest" thing she'd ever done. She took the opportunity to open up about getting dumped via text and dressing up as her ex's new girlfriend for Halloween that year.
Nicole didn't name any names, but it didn't take long for viewers to figure out who she was referring to. Of course, her ex was Iman Shumpert, and his new girlfriend at the time was Taylor. Taylor wasted no time firing back with a lengthy Instagram post. In it, she made it clear that she didn't appreciate the disrespect.
"It's really cr*zy that everyone is allowed to bother me & be distasteful... EVERYBODY gets to play.. while I move with grace. ALWAYS! But now I wanna have a lil sagittarius fun too and it's a problem? F*ck the iman part, l'm divorced and happily so, however her choice of words were very distasteful and uncalled for. She knew exactly what she was doing. That lady said 'she was famous at the time' also said 'idc who see it' it was very distasteful & uncalled for. Most importantly she knew people would dig. So automatically my name is attached to the nonsense," she wrote in part.
"I'm finding out just like the world that her intentions were ill and petty," Taylor added. "She pulled the black card when it came to Taylor Swift, but in the same circle, turned around and tried to bully the black woman that was married to her situationship she claimed 'dumped her' for me. Mustard has had lots of ups and downs over the past few years. The producer scored his first number one single with Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us." He also moved an underwhelming number of units for his last studio album. He announced the birth of his fourth child in July, but has been embroiled in a long and messy divorce with his ex-wife, Chanel Thierry. Fortunately, the latter was resolved on October 14th. TMZ confirmed that a divorce settlement has been reached between Mustard and Thierry, and it's very beneficial for the former.
TMZ reported that Mustard will retain several pricey assets in the divorce. These assets include a mansion in Chatsworth and residential homes in Simi Valley and Los Angeles, respectively. The iconic producer will also get to hold on to several different vehicles. Mustard will retain ownership of a fleet of motorcycles and jet-skis. He will get to keep a number of cars, including a 2022 Maybach Benz, a 2018 Lamborghini Aventador, a 2022 Cadillac Escalade, a 2019 Lamborghini Urus and a 2022 Rolls-Royce Cullinan. The producer is also the owner of a 1960 Chevy Impala 4. Most important of all, though, Mustard will retain the rights to his music catalog.
Chanel Thierry will also be given quite a bit in the divorce. TMZ confirmed that she will be given a one time payment of $315,000 for spousal support. Furthermore, Mustard has decided to give his ex-wife a one time "equalization" payment of $275,000. These lump sums will be accompanied by a Tesla Model X and Sleepova. The latter is a pajama and loungewear company that Thierry founded. She's also going to be given $24,5000 in monthly child support. Thierry has not said anything about the settlement. That said, she has made her disdain for Mustard's actions clear via social media posts over the years.
Thierry exposed Mustard's annual income in an attempt to acquire more child support in June 2023. She also took to Instagram in September to comment on the notion of having kids before marriage. She said she would never make the mistake of having kids before marriage, and fans believed the she was dissing Mustard in her statement. Especially since Mustard is not married to the mother of his most recent child. "At this big grown age of almost being 33," Thierry wrote. "You will see me pop out with a ring before a baby. I wouldn’t make the same mistake I did at 19 at this big age. Learn and [grow]."
