Jennie has officially been announced as the Saturday headliner for this year’s Open'er Festival.

The annual Polish festival will take place from July 1 through July 4 in Gdynia, with this year’s lineup also featuring The Cure, Calvin Harris, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Florence + The Machine, The xx, David Byrne and more.

The K pop superstar is set to headline the Orange Main Stage on July 4. Festival organisers also confirmed additional acts including Viagra Boys, who will perform on the Alter Stage on July 1, and Luvcat, who joins the lineup on July 4.

The announcement adds to an already packed summer schedule for Jennie, who is also set to appear at Mad Cool Festival, Lollapalooza and Governors Ball Music Festival this year.

In a statement shared by festival organisers, they praised the artist’s global impact and influence within pop culture.

“Jennie Kim is one of the most influential female artists of the era. Since debuting with BLACKPINK in 2016, the Korean singer, rapper, and fashion icon has amassed over 55million monthly listeners on Spotify and nearly 90million followers on Instagram. She continues to shape global trends and remains a dominant figure in pop culture.”

The statement concluded: “Wanna rock like Jennie? You got it. See you at Orange Main Stage, July 4!”

Last year, Jennie released her debut solo album ‘Ruby’. In a four star review, NME described the project as “a bold, self-assured debut”, with critic Crystal Bell writing that the album sees Jennie fully take control of her image and artistry after years of public scrutiny.

The review added that with ‘Ruby’, Jennie establishes herself not only as a global star but also as “a fully realised artist” with a clear creative vision and growing artistic confidence.

Earlier this year, BLACKPINK also announced their new mini album ‘Deadline’, marking the group’s third EP and their biggest release since 2022’s full length album ‘Born Pink’.

Jack Harlow Sparks Buzz With His Oversized Cap At The Met Gala Once Again

image

Jack Harlow arrived at the 2026 Met Gala and stayed true to form, stepping out in yet another oversized hat. As expected, the internet had plenty to say about it.

Harlow hit the carpet in a voluminous black tuxedo, styled with a silver brooch and his now-signature oversized newsboy cap. The hat quickly went viral again, continuing its run as one of his most recognizable fashion choices. With this year’s theme centered around “Costume Art,” his look managed to align in its own offbeat way.

He has been leaning into this aesthetic for a while now. A similar hat appeared on the cover of his latest album Monica, while a relaxed olive version showed up in his “Say Hello” music video. At this point, the hat has taken on a life of its own, becoming a talking point that exists beyond his music or any single appearance.

The piece itself comes from Australian label Monphell, giving fans a clear source if they want to tap into the look. For the Gala, Harlow wore a full outfit by Torishéju, a more low-key designer choice compared to the usual Met Gala heavyweights.

Looking ahead, Harlow is gearing up for his 17-city Monica Tour set to begin in August, with stops in Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and more. The run follows his latest album and a noticeable shift toward an R&B-driven sound, which has kept him in the spotlight throughout the year. The project sparked a lot of conversation, both positive and critical, but it kept his name circulating heading into the summer.

Recently, Harlow has been exploring a different creative lane. Monica marks a clear pivot into R&B territory, moving away from the rap style that first brought him mainstream attention.

The album drew heavy reactions, especially after he faced criticism for saying his goal was to “sound Blacker.” Rather than avoid the backlash, he leaned into it, even turning the hat into a self-aware meme. That approach has helped keep him part of the conversation.

The oversized newsboy cap from Monphell leans more theatrical than everyday wear, which made it a natural fit for the Met Gala setting. Outside of that environment, though, it continues to spark debate every time he steps out in it.
