Gracie Abrams is officially entering a new era. On Monday (May 11), the singer-songwriter confirmed that her third studio album is finally on the way, revealing the title Daughter From Hell, along with the cover artwork and official release date through Instagram.
“My third album is out July 17,” Abrams wrote in the caption alongside the announcement. “Whoa whoa whoa. Freaking out.”
The album artwork features a close up image of Abrams crouched down while staring intensely into the distance. Sharing her excitement with fans, she added, “I am so ready for it to be yours.”
According to the Daughter From Hell countdown page on Spotify, the upcoming project will include 16 tracks, including the lead single “Hit the Wall,” which arrives Thursday (May 14). The album was once again created with longtime collaborator Aaron Dessner, who previously worked with Abrams on her 2023 debut album Good Riddance and her 2024 breakthrough follow up The Secret of Us. While Good Riddance peaked at No. 52 on the Billboard 200, The Secret of Us became a major breakthrough for Abrams, climbing to No. 2 and producing fan favorite songs like “That’s So True” and “I Love You, I’m Sorry.”
Abrams has been hinting at new music for quite some time. During her 2025 Billboard cover story interview, she revealed that she and Dessner had been finding time to work together whenever their busy schedules allowed.
“Every day that I live with the music, things start to become a little clearer,” she explained at the time. “There’s something we’re starting to crack that is making both of us feel energized.”
Speculation around the album intensified in April after Abrams shared photos of her journal covered in “DFH” stickers, leading fans to believe a new project announcement was close.
Fans can now look forward to Daughter From Hell arriving July 17.

The title of Ariana Grande’s upcoming album Petal may sound soft and delicate, but according to the pop superstar, some of the emotions behind the project are far more intense.
In a video uploaded to Instagram on Thursday, May 7, Grande gave fans another glimpse into the creative direction of the record while speaking with her team. During the clip, she explained that the album explores feelings and perspectives she previously held back from expressing.
“It’s a little feral,” she said in the video. “It’s definitely coming from a side of me that maybe I was too shy or too polite to fully step into before.”
“This project kind of feels like, ‘F--k it,’” Grande added.
The Grammy winning artist officially announced Petal at the end of April. In a statement released at the time, she described the album, which follows her 2024 Billboard 200 chart topper Eternal Sunshine, as “something that is full of life,” adding that the songs reflect “growing through the cracks of something cold and hard and challenging.”
In the new Instagram clip, Grande elaborated further on the emotional themes behind the project. “It’s really about letting go of all kinds of unhealthy attachments, whether that’s the monsters inside my own mind, outside opinions or things that simply don’t serve me anymore,” she explained. “I might be talking about my own experiences, but I hope people can connect those feelings to their own lives in whatever way they need.”
Before Petal arrives on July 31, Grande will launch her Eternal Sunshine Tour on June 6. The tour marks her first live trek in seven years and will take the Wicked star across North America for nearly two months before wrapping with a 10 night run at The O2 Arena in London.
