Young Thug has responded to claims that he purchased an extravagant $5 million property in Cooper City, Florida. Reports described the residence as being packed with luxury features, including seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a game room, a resort style swimming pool and a separate guest house.
The 6,000 square foot mansion is located near Fort Lauderdale and sits on two acres of land, providing plenty of space for additional buildings. The Real Deal originally published the story, along with images and footage showing the impressive property.
There is only one issue with the report, as Young Thug insists it is not true. After XXL shared The Real Deal’s story on X, the rapper replied, “cap lol I wish.”
The situation raises questions about how the story emerged in the first place. It is possible the information is accurate and Young Thug simply wants to keep the purchase private, but there is currently no explanation for where the claim originated.
Elsewhere, listeners remain curious about the next stage of Young Thug’s musical journey. His 2025 comeback album UY SCUTI received significant criticism following its release, with many fans believing it failed to meet the expectations surrounding it.

A judge in Los Angeles has determined that prosecutors provided enough evidence for musician D4vd to face a murder trial.
The Romantic Homicide singer, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, is accused of killing Celeste Rivas Hernandez when she was 14.
Delivering the decision, Judge Charlaine Olmedo said: "It appears to me, for the purposes of preliminary hearing, the people have met their burden of proof on all charges. I order that Mr Burke be held to answer."
Before the ruling, Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney Beth Silverman described D4vd as a "very clever adult" who allegedly sexually abused Rivas, "gaslit" her, and later killed her after she threatened to reveal the abuse.
Silverman made the argument in response to a defence request claiming prosecutors had not produced sufficient evidence to move forward with a first degree murder case against Burke.
Defence attorney Marilyn Bednarski told the court that Rivas went to Burke’s home without being invited on April 23, 2025. She also said Burke had been using a virtual reality game shortly before Rivas arrived rather than making preparations to murder her.
Bednarski pointed to numerous text messages that she said demonstrated "the opposite of homicidal animus" and showed that D4vd "repeatedly expressed his love and care even after they broke up".
Burke has additionally been charged with the continuous sexual abuse of a child younger than 14 and the unlawful mutilation of human remains.
He is scheduled to be arraigned again on August 31.
