JoJo Siwa got a little scare while sitting courtside at a recent Los Angeles Lakers game.
Sporting a Lakers jersey with matching purple and yellow socks, the 18-year-old pop singer and dancer was nearly trampled by Phoenix Suns player Jae Crowder during the NBA game at L.A.’s Crypto.com Arena, formerly the Staples Center, on Tuesday (Dec. 21).
In a video clip of the jarring moment, Siwa, who was seated next to her rumored girlfriend Katie Mills, is seen shielding her face and ducking as the 6-foot-6 Suns forward dives near her chair as he attempts to save the ball from going out of bounds.
“How’s it going down there, @itsjojosiwa?” the Suns captioned the video on its official Twitter account. Ever the good sport, Siwa replied, “Quite well.”
The singer and dancer also took to her Instagram Story after the game to share her excited reaction. “I just got trampled by a player,” Siwa said, according to People. “It was really cool. Also, I just saw my life flash before my eyes.”
She added, “If I wouldn’t have ducked, I would’ve been out, down for the count. I think I would’ve got a broken neck… It’s honestly really entertaining. It really spiced up the day.”

The Prime Minister of Albania has confirmed that a Kanye West show will still take place in Tirana, the country’s capital.
This update follows a wave of cancellations across Europe, where several of West’s scheduled performances were called off after backlash tied to his past antisemitic remarks.
The artist, who now goes by Ye, dropped his newest album, Bully, in March. He had originally been set to headline three nights at London’s Wireless Festival, but sponsors withdrew their support and the UK Home Office denied him entry into the country.
Following that situation, additional concerts planned in Switzerland, Poland, and France were also scrapped.
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama shared a post on Facebook confirming that Ye is still expected to perform in Tirana this July. The Ministry of Culture added, "In every aspect, it is our obligation to welcome and facilitate the development of such events that bring numerous benefits to tourism and the economy."
The performer, who was previously married to Kim Kardashian, faced heavy criticism in 2022 after posting offensive statements on social media. As a result, his Instagram and Twitter accounts were suspended, and he lost partnerships with his agency, legal team, and record label. At first, he stood by his comments and even suggested that Jewish people should "forgive Hitler."
In 2023, he issued an apology and said alcohol played a role in his actions. Earlier this year in January, he followed up with another apology, updating his Wall Street Journal letter addressed "to those I've hurt."
